At Rubbish Pickles, we hate to see good things go to waste, whether it’s wonky vegetables, wrinkly fruit or the valuable time and skills of our trainees.

Our delicious sauces, pickles, jams and chutneys are made in Chester Le Street with fruit and vegetables that would otherwise have gone into the bin.
The large range of seasonal products are all made in the Handcrafted training kitchen, providing support and training opportunities for people who often have multiple barriers to employment.

So, if you want your pickles that are kind to the environment, kind to people and kind to your taste buds, try Rubbish Pickles’ range of sauces, jams, gift sets and chutneys.

Please note this is COLLECTION ONLY from our cafe in Chester le Street. Come down on Thursday – Saturdays, 11am until 2pm and ask our volunteers at the door.

With this order, you can choose which three condiments you’d like upon collection, we will have a selection on display. They come in a lovely handmade wooden gift box made at the Handcrafted workshop. Our selection is changing all the time as more is made! Some examples of what is available:
