When it comes to catering for events, it takes some planning, talent and expertise to come up with the menu that has been requested, with all the dietary requirements and special requests, using only food that would otherwise have been wasted. The event organisers give us an idea of their favourite foods, maybe a party theme or particular dish they’d like, and we work with whatever we get in once Jonny has driven a van around the North East intercepting food before it goes to waste. But what we’re able to produce from it all never fails to impress.
This summer has been our busiest yet for catering: including 4 weddings, a climate change conference, canapés for a ‘proms night’ event, an annual gala dinner, ecofestival and a garden party for the Bishop of Durham.
