A new face around

Hey everyone ! My name is Franck. As a French student, I first heard about The Real Junk Food Project through my English teacher who is trying to import it in France. During our schooling, we are given the opportunity to carry out an internship in an English-speaking country in order to improve our English. This is how I was able to get in touch with the REfUSE team who were really receptive and kind in their answers.

I am particularly stunned that there are so much resources wasted while there are so many people struggling and that would benefit so much from it, this is why I was very impressed and excited to come here and meet Nikki, Mim, Susie and all the team who is doing something great for the community. I really think that people are getting more and more aware of the situation and changing minds and habits go through communication, education and small acts that anyone can do and that really matter.

Kindness and generosity know no frontiers. Feelings and emotions know no unique language. Ethnicity or wealth do not determine who you are: acts and behaviour do. I strongly believe in people and I have met amazing souls in this team, that’s why I greatly encourage anyone who would like to be a part of this change to get in touch!
