After a year of searching and working on a number of venues, we finally got keys and are signing a lease on an amazing building on Front Street in Chester-le-Street. We aim to have it open around the end of November, but lots of work needs doing to get there. It will be a creative, upcycled and welcoming space, open 5 days a week and some evenings.
We ran a pop up drop-in cafe in our empty venue before we began building work – people could come in and look at our plans and check out the ‘before’ view. You can read more about it in this article in the Chronicle or you may have seen us in the Chester-le-Street advertiser.
Thank you so much to all those who have offered to help out with renovations. Stu is heading up the project and working all hours of the evenings and weekends. If you have (or know anyone who has) a particular trade or skill that would come in useful, (e.g. electricians, plumbers etc) please get in touch. We will be asking for more unskilled help (painting, cleaning etc.) in the next couple of weeks.
